About Erg Chebbi Dunes
The Dunes of Erg Chebbi are a piece of sand dunes located 25km of the
Algerian Border, in the region of Tafilalet, 50km from Erfoud city and
130km from the Provincial city of Errachidia.
Erg comes from Arabic and means "dune". This partial piece of sand dunes
have special characteristics that other around Sahara Desert don't have.
It's special and unique energy makes it the spot to energize yourself,
to clean your spirit, to cure your rheumatism with sand baths, to fresh
up your mind, to take sinusitis away, and more that all, its different
strong orange color gives you the sense of being somewhere else than
Earth.
Erg Chebbi dunes offers diverse types of attractions, from disperse
oasis in rocky canyons, to different types of desert tracks with
different rock formation: volcanic cobalt in the hamada for ex., also
you can enjoy a dromedary excursion into the sand dunes and loose
yourself from time it self as you roam on the back of your new partner
(the dromedary), being guided by an astute camel man, a nomad from the
desert itself, that will teach all his knowledge from the Sahara and the
Berber culture from Sahara.
